Re: aluminum trailers and galvanic corrosion i have a galvanized trailer and launch in the ocean at times. even though mine is galvanized, i always spray it down with "salt away" right after i launch and right after i retrieve.. Zinc for aluminum or salt water: if you are a saltwater boater, you should install zinc or aluminum anodes to prevent galvanic corrosion on the engine and underwater parts of your boat..
